An environmental assessment conducted prior to an anticipated development increases our understanding of the biological scope of such projects as well as allows potential efficiencies and mitigative measures to be identified. The EA process is an important first step in any sustainable resource development. Baseline data capture on select species and habitat elements within the project area facilitates a better understanding of the biological risks and costs of such developments. Innovative management practices and mitigative opportunities to lessen identified potential impacts can then be developed. The challenge of getting natural resources to market at the lowest cost includes reducing or eliminate potential biological impacts of resource-based activities. CBA Ltd. supports stakeholder improvements to landscape management/development practices by performing accurate and best-science-focused environmental assessments and by developing functional technical reports.
